Anthony is Practice Group Lead for the Family Law Practice Group. For nearly a decade, he has assisted clients in the creation and protection of their families and the formation and dissolution of their relationships. His areas of practice include prenuptial agreements, domestic partnership/cohabitation agreements, co-parenting agreements, other family agreements, egg/sperm donor agreements, second/step-parent adoptions, domestic partnership dissolution agreements, other family dissolution agreements, uncontested divorce, name changes, gender marker changes, and property agreements. He also has an active residential real estate practice and represents clients in the purchase and sale of their homes.
Having received his training through The Center for Understanding in Conflict, Anthony is also a skilled mediator. He can provide clients with more conventional representation or guide parties toward reaching agreements and resolving their disputes through mediation.
Anthony started his career at the established and well-respected firm, Weiss, Buell & Bell. In 2016, he joined Carol L. Buell as she launched a new venture, Carol L. Buell Law & Mediation, PLLC, where he was integrally involved with the firm’s family law practice and headed the firm’s residential real estate practice.
Anthony sits on the Foundation Board of the LGBT Bar of NY, is founder, former Chair, and current member of the Family & Matrimonial Law Section of the LGBT Bar of NY, is an active member of the Family Law Institute and New York State Bar Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Vassar College and a Juris Doctorate from The City University of New York School of Law. Anthony lives with his husband and beloved dog Henry in the Hudson Valley. Outside of the office, he enjoys hiking, design, and participating in a book club at his local independent bookstore.
